A young male has been stabbed in Birmingham tonight with a large combat knife.
Police only found out there was a victim after officers spoke to a group of young males in the city centre and discovered a knife one had in his possession had been used in an attack minutes earlier.
One of them told officers he had a knife, and police said they recovered a combat knife from his trousers.
They said they found it had been used to stab a young male just minutes before they had arrived at the scene.
Police officers from a special Youth Violence and Knife Crime team said a suspect has been arrested for “an array of offences”.
They added the victim was taken to hospital and “safeguarded from harm” along with another male.
