A 15-year-old schoolboy has been charged with attempted murder after a man was allegedly stabbed in the head in Handsworth.
The 21-year-old victim was on Murdock Road on March 6 when he was reportedly attacked.
West Midlands Police said a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was charged with attempted murder and appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday (March 26).
The defendant was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
Meanwhile, the victim is still recovering form his injuries at home.
Birmingham Police posted on Facebook: “We’ve charged a teenager over a knife attack in which a 21-year-old man was stabbed in the head in Murdock Road, Birmingham, on Saturday 6 March 2021.
“The 15-year-old, who cannot be named due to his age, is accused of attempted murder.
“He appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court last Friday (26 March) and was remanded into prison ahead of his next appearance.
“The 21-year-old man is at home where he continues to recover from his injuries.”
