Sainsbury’s has issued a new safety message to shoppers ahead of the Easter weekend.
The supermarket, with stores across Birmingham and the West Midlands, is asking shoppers to consider making an earlier trip to the store.
Easter Sunday is on April 4.
And the supermarket expects to be busy.
As such, it has asked shoppers to visit earlier in the week to “help keep everyone safer”.
The supermarket tweeted: “We may be busier than usual this Easter, so please shop earlier in the week to help keep everyone safer. Thank you.”
The supermarket has also reminded shoppers to shop alone to help maintain social distancing in stores, unless you’re with a carer or children.
A reduced number of people are currently allowed in Sainsbury’s stores at one time to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
Customers are also required to wear face masks.
