Police have issued an appeal for information after a man allegedly made ‘comments of a sexual nature’ to a young girl in a city park.

The girl was reportedly said to have been approached by an older man in Perry Barr skate park on March 22.

West Midlands Police said the man is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, older and with white hair.

Now officers have issued CCTV images of a man they want to trace in connection with the investigation.

The images released by West Midlands Police were taken on board the number 33 bus.

The force appeal read: “We’re appealing for information after a man approached a young girl in a park and made comments of a sexual nature.

“It happened at the skate park in Perry Barr on Monday 22 March.

“The suspect has been described as an older white man, 5ft 2ins tall with small build and white hair. At the time of the offence he was holding a can of Carling and an orange or red colour bag.

“As part of our enquiry we’ve been looking at CCTV and today (1 April) we’ve released some images of a man we’d like to speak to. He was spotted boarding the 33 bus a short time after the incident in the park.

“If you recognise this man, or know who he is, we need to hear from you. We’re also keen to hear from anyone who was in the park at the time and witnessed what happened.
