Man injured after falling from roof during Bloxwich cannabis farm raid

A man was seriously injured after a dramatic fall from a roof during a police raid at a Bloxwich cannabis farm.

Officers discovered around 70 plants at an address in High Street at around 11.30am on Thursday, July 22 – but while cops were searching the property, a man climbed onto the roof.

Footage circulating on social media shows a man sliding down the roof of the semi-detached property. He’s hidden by a parked car as he crashes to the pavement with a thud.

A PCSO can be seen hurrying away from the man’s landing spot before putting in a call on his radio.

Seconds later, the man attempts to get up, as a cop rushes towards him repeatedly shouting “stay there, stay there”.

Several other officers emerge from the back of the property as the video cuts off.

The man – who was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis – was taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries.

He’ll be questioned when medically fit.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11.48am to a patient on Bloxwich High Street.

“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the West Midlands CARE Team attended the scene.

“Crews treated one patient, a man, for potentially serious injuries and he was conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
