Latest Covid rate in each part of Birmingham and West Midlands with just four areas in England falling



Tuesday’s update of Covid-19 case rates for every local authority area in England has been released.

Of the 315 local areas in England, 311 (99%) have seen a week-on-week rise in rates and four (1%) have seen a fall.

Solhihull has a rate of 880, up from 492, and is now 12th in England – two spots ahead of North Warwickshire in 14th.

North Warks has a rate of 839, up from 623, with 548 new cases in the town.

Tamworth is also in the top 30 – at 727, two spots ahead of Worcester, which is also rising.

Nuneaton and Bedworth is also in the top 50, with a rate over 650 cases per 100k.

The list has been calculated by the PA news agency based on Public Health England data published on July 20 on the Government’s coronavirus dashboard.
