How over 45s can book a Covid vaccine with the NHS

The coronavirus vaccine rollout continues within the UK with millions of people now receiving their first jab.

The Government has announced that the programme would soon reach out to over 40s within England as the rollout continues throughout the country.

Meanwhile, the Moderna vaccine will start to be used in England from today and more than 20 sites across England will initially use the nation’s third approved vaccine.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said: “From today the NHS in England will begin using the Moderna vaccine, following the start of the UK roll out in Wales last week.

“The vaccine has already been used widely in other countries and approved by our medicines regulator as it met the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.”

And many Brits will be looking to book their vaccine so how am I able to do it? Here’s how you can book your appointment for a jab.

How do I book a vaccine?

For people looking to book a vaccine, you can start by going on the Government website.

According to the NHS website, you need to be aware that you:

  • have 2 doses of the coronavirus vaccine at 2 appointments
  • book both appointments at the same time
  • get the 2nd dose 11 to 12 weeks after getting your 1st dose

You can book it for another person if you want.
