Five arrested as police swarm Brierley Hill street in drugs and weapons bust


Five people were arrested after police swooped on a Brierley Hill street during a drugs and weapons bust.

Officers, response vehicles and sniffer dogs flooded Gorsty Avenue, in the Brockmoor area, following a tip-off from a member of the public.

Cops arrested five people and seized drugs and weapons on Wednesday afternoon (July 14).

The Brierley Hill Police team tweeted: “Yesterday (July 14), Brierley Hill NHT 1 completed a number of Section 23 warrants on the same street, tackling drug and weapon offences.

“Successful warrant achieved; drugs and weapons seized, five in custody. Special thanks to tactical support, police dogs and all the officers who helped out.
